Serene Spring

Stamps: Serene Spring (2008 Hostess), Sanded
Inks: Basic Black, Creamy Caramel
Paper: Kraft, Garden Green, Really Rust, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Tool kit, Watercolor Wonder Crayons
Technique: Watercoloring

This was the general favorite of all the stampers today.

Edge of rust paper is first rubbed with water to help roll it, giving it a worn and torn look. When the water dries the paper stays in the shape is was formed to. Using awl or sewing needle punch accent into corner using template in kit.

Morning Soft

Stamps: Morning Soft, Floral
Inks: Pink Pirouette, Mellow Moss
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Mellow Moss, Versamark
Accessories: Fire rhinestone brads, Embossing Powder, White taffeta ribbon, heat gun, tool kit
Techniques: Wet embossing, Watercoloring

This was another favorite of the stamp camp.

Emboss flower (with versamark, embossing powder, and heat gun) and watercolor flowers and leaves. Using awl from tool kit punch hole through center of flowers and place brad in image. Mount on white and moss paper. On card itself only stamp bottom portion of background stamp and use ribbon to create a straight line visually. Overlay ribbon with main image and you're done.

Dreams du Jour

Stamps: Dreams du Jour
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss
Paper: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Designer series (retired)
Accessories: Vanilla taffeta ribbon, Pretties Kit, stamping sponge, Crystal effects
Technique: Watercoloring

Butterfly is stamped off three times with only one inking to create a background with a butterfly path. The ribbon is wrapped around the paper twice and tied in a knot. After all is afixed to the card use crystal effects to add flower (color added with stamping sponge) and pearl.

Little Bit of Happiness

Stamps: A Little Bit of Happiness, Elegant Cheer
Papers: Lovely Lilac, Whisper White
Inks: Basic Black, Lovely Lilac, Pixie Pink, Only Orange, Green Galore
Assesories: Medium Watercolor Brush

For our first card of the day, since there were first time stampers in the group we did a nice and easy block stamp. And falling back on my regular standby, it was a basic card done with watercoloring. I framed all my boxes with the lilac to coordinate with the card color but several of the ladies framed their boxes with the different colors and I think I liked theirs better. What a great card to send a quick note to a friend!

ps. All the dots running across the image are from the scan and are not a part of the card itself.

Embrace Life

Stamps: Embrace Life, Hugs & Wishes, Sanded
Paper: Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Basic Black
Accessories: Coluzzle set, Light Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Pixie Pink Marker, Pop Dots

This was my favorite card of the camp--and I am not a Bold Brights person as a rule. First we stamped the flower image onto the white paper and colored it in with the marker. We then stamped the green paper with the Sanded background stamp and cut it to frame the white square (just slightly larger than the white square itself.) Next, using the colozzle set, we cut out the circle--centering it as much as possible and then lined up the white paper so that our stamped image was showing to the best effect. We then mounted the white under the green and used the black paper to frame the entire thing, helping the entire image to pop.

Next we stamped another image on the card stock to make a complimentary background for the card itself. We also cut out a strip of the same paper to create a bar that we would mount through the center of the card, first tying on the pink ribbon. Once the bar was attached we put pop dots on the corners and in the center back of our main image and attached it to the card, finishing with a simple sentiment to complete the look. A beautiful card.

From The Garden

Stamp Set: From the Garden
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Cameo Coral, Old Olive, Basic Black
Accessories: Pearl Ex powder and luminere, Rub-ons
Technique: Watercoloring

This card was watercolored with the SU! inks. I then mixed luminere and the white pearl ex power and painted that onto the front of the flower petals to give the flower some sparkle and pop. The rub-on was added to give the card a simple sentiment and off it went in the mail.
